A Love Letter Unto Thee

You have sought and wooed me before I knew You.
Freely You have given all to me, You have not held back anything good from me.
You have surrendered Your life upon that cross, that I may have an abundant life in You.
You have led me through my darkest moments.When I felt unworthy, You were there to pour out your unconditional love for me.
When I was hurt, You were there to collect every single drop of my tears.
When I went about my own way, You were there to protect me and guide me towards the right path.
All these you have done even before I knew You. So great is Your love poured out for me.
Yet, I have not fully understood the magnitude of Your love for me. 

It is now time for me to woo and seek You.
When You hid Your face away from me, Greater do I yearn for Your face,
For I have tasted and seen of Your goodness,
And clearly there is no turning back for me.
Even so, do not remain silent for too long.
Do not test my heart for too long, for this heart of mine is faint.
The Holy Spirit brings into remembrance the fond memories we shared, and of the wonderous things You have done.
O Lord, how much more beautiful memories we are going to create when I find you again in our secret place.

I have asked you to search my heart & refine me with your consuming fire,
I have asked that you give me clean hands and a pure heart.
Indeed, You have been faithful and heard my prayers.
What a wretched person I am.
Yet You promise to wash me with Your love.
You promise to fill me with Your Spirit and remove my heart of stone and give me a heart of flash.
Show me and teach me Your ways, O Lord.
Give me new lenses O Lord.
Enlarge my heart to love like the way you do and show compassion to those whom you love. 

You have promised that Your plans for me are to prosper me, to give me a hope and a future.
You have taught me to trust You and to believe You,For You will make all things beautiful in Your time.
There are so many things You wish to tell me.
I promise that I shall hold Your words close to my heart and never to drop them.
I shall be strong and courageous, For in You, I may have fearless faith.
I shall stand on Your promises regardless of what challenges life might bring,
For You always have me in Your palm. And Your steadfast love enduresforever.

You have drawn me into that secret place with you,
To spend time with you and draw close to You,
And to cling on to You like a branch is to a vine.
You are my solid rock and my source of life.

Then You will give me the desires of my heart,
And I shall know Your love for me is greater than the vast ocean.
Come and flood me again with Your love and presence,
For I too shall flood you with mine.
Then will I know what You meant when You call me Your beloved
And Your beloved I shall always be.
